Q&A with Stine Borggaard, Project Manager at Dypång Management, organizer of Aarhus Fashion Week

What role does Aarhus Fashion Week play?

Aarhus Fashion Week serves as an essential platform for exhibitors and buyers in the fashion and lifestyle industry. It’s a closed sales fair where exhibitors pre-arrange meetings with buyers, who get to experience the latest collections and place orders. As a central gathering point, the event provides a valuable framework for sales, inspiration, and networking.

How do you balance being an effective sales fair while also delivering a positive experience for exhibitors and attendees?

We constantly strive to improve the experience for both exhibitors and visitors. Our goal is to ensure the sales fair runs efficiently for exhibitors and buyers alike. Key to this is hosting the event at a single location, offering free parking, and ensuring catering is available on-site. Additionally, we work closely with exhibitors on everything from stand placement and fair dates to catering selection and other practical details. Involving exhibitors in the decision-making process extends our timeline as event organizers, but we prioritize this because we value collaboration and believe it always leads to the best outcomes.

How do you adapt your efforts as event organizers to support stores and suppliers facing a challenging market?

We are very attuned to the industry and work diligently to create an attractive fair environment that supports its development. Our exhibitors know the industry and their customers best. Therefore, it’s crucial for us as event organizers to listen to them. We conduct surveys on practical initiatives to ensure the fair meets both their and their customers’ needs. We handle everything so that exhibitors can focus solely on their sales and customers on their purchases.

What are your expectations for Aarhus Fashion Week in February?

We have high hopes. With our ongoing optimizations, we look forward to creating an event where exhibitors and visitors have an even better experience. We’re seeing strong interest in participating in the fair, and we expect it to remain a key platform for sales, networking, and collaboration.
